Narcotic investigations are done by all police officers and they face many dangers. There are different types of dangers, some involve physical dangers and there are non-physical dangers to one’s career and family life. One of these dangers are for plainclothes or off duty officers to be mistakenly shot by a fellow police officer. Non-physical dangers (or pitfalls) from narcotic investigations can lead to problems and health issues for a police officers. Some of these pitfalls involve corruption, exposure to cash, excessive force issues, mixing work with family and other areas.
