Hybrid/Electric Vehicle Awareness & Response Training

Our officers, fire fighters and EMS personnel are encountering more hybrid and electric vehicles on a daily basis. The batteries in these vehicles pose significant hazards when the vehicles are involved in crashes or fires, both for the initial response as well as storage. The St. George Police Department and the Utah Professional Towing Alliance will be hosting the following training with instructors from the ESA (Energy Security Agency) on November 11, 2023 from 0830-1300 hrs at our training facility. Participants will interact with the industry’s leaders in hybrid and electric vehicle safety. This high impact 4 hr course is designed to equip all first responders with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to safely and compliantly interact with hybrid and electric vehicles.
